Everton are set to reward a host of players with new contracts, with John Stones their main priority as they attempt to keep their prized asset according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 21-year-old has been subject to interest from Europe’s best clubs, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona but Roberto Martinez hopes to keep the Englishman at the club and build a team around coveted youngster.
The Echo claim that the Blues will open negotiations after the January window closes, so unless an extortionate bid comes in over the next fortnight then it is likely that Stones will get his new contract to better reflect his current reputation.

As well as a contract for Stones, the club are also looking to open talks with Bryan Oviedo and Muhamed Besic over new deals.
Oviedo’s current deal runs out in the summer, but Everton do have an option to extend it by another year.
Muhamed Besic has looked impressive in recent weeks after returning from injury and Roberto Martinez wants to reward the 23-year-old for his progression into the first team.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will come in for John Stones in this window, or whether Real Madrid will be forced to spend with their impending transfer embargo after this window.
With a deal likely to be on the table after the window slams shut it is now up to John to make his decision.
