Howard considering summer exit
Tim Howard is thinking of leaving Everton in the summer, according to Chris Bascombe of the Telegraph.
The 37-year-old has been out-of-form for the last two seasons and has come under immense criticism in recent months, with the form of Joel Robles and the overtures of America giving the veteran food for thought.
Roberto Martinez’s faith in Tim Howard has never been shaken and recently said his ‘keeper was part of the Everton badge, but with strong interest from MLS and Howard’s relationship with the Goodison faithful severely strained, there have been a few verbal spats during matches between player and crowd, the former Manchester United stopper is rethinking his career plans.
Howard joined the Blues in 2006, served the club extremely well and hoped to retire with the Blues at the end of his current contract in 2018.
But this season has been tough for the no.24 and after a decade on Merseyside he could decide to return to his homeland, with Colorado Rapids among those interested in his services.
