With the January transfer window slammed shut there is not much transfer news to talk about but over the past month EA Sports the creators of popular football game FIFA have been making adjustments to the ratings of players in their database.
Players who have played well through the first half of the season will have their overall buffed up, providing the game with new and better players.
Let’s embrace our geeky side and see just who from the Everton team got their upgrade!
All images of stats have been sourced from Futhead.com.
Gerard Deulofeu 78 > 80
The Catalonian winger has impressed since rejoining the club in the summer, striking up an impressive partnership with Belgian Striker Romelu Lukau. Thoroughly deserving of his upgrade for his early season form.
Romelu Lukaku 80 > 82
The Belgian has been on fire this season, becoming the second player in Everton’s history to hit 20 goals in consecutive seasons for the club.
The striker has been in impressive form and if the Blues are to make a late push for European competition then Romelu will be one of the catalysts to such an achievement.
Oumar Niasse 75 > 77
The new signing has been in impressive form for Lokomotiv Moscow in the first half of the season, scoring 10 goals and assisting 13 in 23 appearances.
Obviously, not many of us watch the Russian League but it’s safe to say those stats speak for themselves and is deserving of an upgrade.
Unfortunately his card has yet to be transferred over to the club but EA Sports are releasing the last few transferred cards over the next few weeks.
Ross Barkley 79 > 80
The midfielder has been in fine form this season, his tally currently standing at eight in 26 games, better last season’s total of just two goals in 29 league appearances.
Deserving of an upgrade due to his early season form which seen him light up the Everton team in attack and could be upgraded further at the end of the season should he hit form again.
Arouna Kone 76 > 77
Yes, you read that right.
Arouna Kone has received a small boost of one rating, mainly due to his games against Aston Villa and Sunderland. Still, we don’t have a clue how he got an upgrade.
What do you think?
