Everton are in the hunt for Norwegian midfielder Markus Henriksen, according to CalcioMercato.
The Norwegian international has been one of the best players in the Eredivisie this season with 11 goals and four assists for AZ in 25 league games, as well four goals in the KNVB Cup and the Europa League.
Roberto Martinez was eager to bring in a foreign playmaker last summer and failed in his attempts to sign Andriy Yarmolenko and Bernard, but he has picked up the likes of Aaron Lennon, Gerard Deulofeu and Oumar Niasse in the last two transfer windows.
The Blues reportedly face competition for the 23-year-old’s signature, with fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace and Serie A giants A.C Milan and Napoli interested in the former Rosenborg youth graduate.
Henriksen was highly regarded as a youngster and won two league titles with Rosenborg in before moving to the Netherlands and AZ in 2012.
