According to The Liverpool Echo, long term Everton target and current Dynamo Kiev attacker Andriy Yarmolenko wants to prove himself by playing in the Premier League.
This will come as music to the ears of most Evertonians, with the Ukranian international being at the top of most of the Goodison faithful’s wish list.
Everton previously had a bid turned down for Yarmolenko even after meeting the players buy-out-clause. Barcelona are also said to be interested in the 26-year-old Ukrainian, but Yarmolenko’s agent has said that the Dynamo Kiev attacker wants to play in the Premier League.
Was there interest on the part of Barcelona? There was.
Andriy has a desire to play in the Premier League. Everything will depend on the willingness of Yarmolenko.
Although unlikely to feature for Dynamo Kiev tonight, Yarmolenko is by far one of the clubs most talented players. The Ukrainian has scored 37 times for his club and also a very impressive tally of 22 goals in 55 games for his national side.
Yarmolenko played a huge part in breaking Everton hearts last season with his devastating attacking play being too much for the Everton defence to handle in the Europa League knock-out stages.
There is no doubt that Yarmolenko would prove to be a great addition to the Everton ranks with attacking players such as Mirallas, Pienaar and McGeady all linked with permanent moves away from Goodison Park.
