Everton are set to battle it out with Premier League and Merseyside rivals Liverpool for Paris Saint-Germain central defender Presnel Kimpembe.
The Frenchman has been capped at national level for the under-21’s but is yet to make a senior appearance after failing to secure his position at club level.
With the likes of Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Marquinhos to contend with for a place in the Parisian side’s central defence, competition may prove to be too tough for the 20-year-old.
This has led Kimpembe to doubt his future at PSG, igniting interest from Everton and Liverpool, according to French news outlet L’Equipe, via talkSPORT.
Kimpembe has yet to put in a transfer request but is reportedly unhappy at the cash-rich French side and could be forced into a move elsewhere. Monaco are believed to have made a bid for the defender in January but it was rejected, with any moves from the Blues also expected to be.
