After it was today confirmed that Everton manager Roberto Martinez would be relieved of his duties, speculation regarding Ronald Koeman’s Southampton future has increased significantly as the Guardian reports that the Toffees have made the Dutchman their top managerial target ahead of next season.
It shouldn’t come as any surprise to see Koeman attracting plenty of interest given his wonderful two-year tenure at St Mary’s so far, leading them to at least 60 points in both of his campaigns after losing a substantial number of key players.

Everton’s new shareholder Farhad Moshiri has invested a lot of money into the club and will provide the next manager at Goodison Park with all the funds needed to take the Blues to the next level.
Koeman is reported to be interested in taking charge of Everton next season, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Koeman’s fellow countryman Frank De Boer is also in the frame for the job but the Saints boss seems to be the main target for Moshiri and Everton this summer.
