Everton slap £25million price tag on Funes Mori
Everton have placed a £25million price tag on defender Ramiro Funes Mori after the centre-back attracted attention from Manchester United and Lazio, according to his agent.
The Argentine signed for the Blues last summer in a deal thought to be worth £9.5million and has made 37 appearances scoring an impressive 5 goals in the process.
Due to his impressive early season form, both Lazio and Manchester United have registered their interest in the player but Everton swiftly responded by placing a huge price tag on Mori’s head. The Toffees will be looking to ward off any interest in the player with John Stones’ future still in question with a host a top clubs vying for his signature.
Speaking on his clients situation, Mori’s agent explained:
Lazio are a great club, but Everton do not want to sell and evaluates him more than €30 million. But football is strange, anything can happen, he is among the best left-handed centre-backs in the world at the time.
It is also reported that Funes Mori has also caught the eye of Barcelona scouts, who had originally made the trip to Merseyside to scout Stones, further fuelling speculation that the Argentine defender could be tempted away from the club this summer.
