Everton to hold talks with Emery
Everton will hold talks with Sevilla boss Unai Emery as they step up their search for a new manager, according to the Telegraph.
It was reported earlier this week that Emery would be open to talking to the Blues about the vacant managerial position, and it now looks like Everton are making their move.
The 44-year-old Spaniard has won three consecutive Europa Leagues with the Andalusians and could add another trophy to his impressive C.V tonight, as Sevilla take on Barcelona in the final of the Copa Del Rey.
Emery has previously managed Valencia, Almeria and Spartak Moscow and has been in charge of Los Rojiblancos since 2013.
It’s not known if Emery is Everton’s top managerial target, but Farhad Moshiri et al are keen to talk to the former Toledo midfielder regarding a move to Goodison Park.
Frank De Boer, Ronald Koeman and Manuel Pellegrini are also rumoured to be on Everton’s shortlist as they look to replace Roberto Martinez, who was sacked last week after a dire run of form
