Everton hold talks with Pellegrini
Everton have held talks with Manuel Pellegrini as they look for a new manager, according to Dominic King of the Daily Mail.
The Chilean has been in the frame to succeed Roberto Martinez for a while and is believed to have met the club’s major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, about the vacant managerial position.
Pellegrini is keen to keep working in the Premier League and sees Everton as a club with vast potential, but Moshiri and the rest of the Goodison hierarchy have a number of targets in mind.
Unai Emery, Ronald Koeman and Frank De Boer have all been suggested as potential candidates and the trio are all believed to be interested in the job.
Sevilla boss Emery is highly thought of by the Everton board and is rumoured to be set for talks with the club next week.
Former Toffees boss David Moyes is also under consideration, though he is currently contemplating an offer from Aston Villa.
