Blues to interview NINE managerial candidates
Everton will interview up to nine managers over the course of the next few weeks, according to the Mirror.
The Blues have already talked to Manuel Pellegrini and Frank De Boer after both left their respective clubs by mutual consent while Unai Emery is thought to be having talks over the next few days.
The other managers in the frame are former boss David Moyes, Southampton’s Ronald Koeman, Mark Hughes and Rafa Benitez. Although unlikely, some fans fear the reunion with David Moyes could be down to Bill Kenwright’s inability to let go. Though, it is thought that any managerial appointment this year will be down to major shareholder Farhad Moshiri who wants a big name manager to push the club forward.
At this point in time there are no clear indications on which manager is likely to take charge next season. Manuel Pellegrini has become Sky Bet’s new favourite after what may have been positive talks with the Everton board this week, while former favourite Frank De Boer has fell down the betting odds to fourth favourite.
Come the end of the week when all candidates have had their say, we should all have a clearer indication of who will have the responsibility of taking Everton back towards the top of the table next season.
