Everton have stepped up their pursuit of Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly by increasing their bid to £41million.
According to Football-Italia, who quote Sport Italia, Koulibaly is high on Ronald Koeman’s wanted list and the Toffees are keen to beat off interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea as well as Bayern Munich in order to land the defender.
Everton defender John Stones has been linked with a move to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer and the money they receive from the English international is widely expected to go on Koulibaly, his replacement.

It had been reported that the 25-year-old is more likely to join Chelsea, with Stamford Bridge his preferred destination. However, the Senegalese international isn’t opposed to joining Goodison Park this summer.
Koulibaly, who has been capped six times for Senegal, has been impressive for Napoli and has caught the attention of plenty of sides across Europe.
