The highly rated recruiter has secured several players for Leicester during his time at the club such as Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kanté and Danny Drinkwater.
The Toffees hierarchy were thought to be looking for a director of football as majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri looks to guide the club to further success. Sevilla’s Monchi and Ajax’s Marc Overmars had been linked previously, but the club now look set to land Walsh to assist Ronald Koeman as he prepares for the new season.
Leicester originally rejected an approach from Everton for their prized asset, but it was still thought that they would be unable to keep hold of Walsh, who wanted to speak to the blues about a potential move.
Now, pending legal details, it look as though Moshiri has got his man and the club will look to press on with recruiting playing staff ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League Season.
