The DR Congo international went down with an injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Goodison Park and was forced off.
Although it looked to be a nasty knock to Bolasie’s knee during the game, the extent of the injury was not known until now.
It’s sure to be a big blow to Everton for the remainder of the season and especially throughout the course of this hectic festive period, which is well underway.
The £22.5 million signing has been a little bit inconsistent since his summer arrival from Crystal Palace but moments of magic have certainly shown that he is a key player.
Ronald Koeman will now need to effectively replace Bolasie from options within the squad or in the January transfer window that is fast approaching.
