Gabbiadini Remains A Target For Everton
Ronald Koeman will still attempt to sign left-footed Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini in January despite the fact that he has scored only three goals this season, according to Mirror.co.uk
Everton made a bid in a region of £14.5 million in the summer transfer window but rejected by Napoli. They seemed to value him higher than that, maybe a bid around £17.5million – £20million could have been enough to prise him from the Naples club.
Il Partenopei are currently having a striker crisis after their main striker, Arkadiusz Milik was predicted to be out until February 2017 with a cruciate ligament rupture injury. Somehow Gabbiadini is still not the first choice striker for Napoli with Maurizio Sarri opting to place either Dries Mertens or Lorenzo Insigne as the spearhead instead, showing that Gabbiadini hasn’t shown anything impressive both on the training field and in his time on the pitch.
Ronald Koeman is preparing to lose his star striker, Romelu Lukaku, according to the report as he has made it clear that he wants to join a bigger club. Even Koeman said in a recent interview that Lukaku is such a big talent, perhaps too big for Everton and that he should leave Everton if he is to grow as a world-class player.
So, what do you think? Would signing Gabbiadini be a good decision for Everton?
