Everton are reportedly looking to make their move for Manchester United duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in January with a huge £40 million bid, Greg O’Keeffe of the Liverpool Echo can report.
The pair are hugely out of favour at Old Trafford and are both likely to make their tracks away from United when next month’s transfer window opens, but it now looks as though Everton are stepping up their pursuit of the duo and are willing to cough up big cash to lure them over to Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman is looking to add quality into the ranks at Everton after a somewhat adequate start to life in Merseyside, with an ageing squad looking to be more and more of an issue as the games go by.
Depay would be seen as a good replacement for Yannick Bolasie, who is to miss the rest of the season through injury, along with Schneiderlin who would be likely to slot in next to Idrissa Gueye in midfield.
Greg O’Keeffe was the first to report Romelu Lukaku’s nearing contract extension, which gives this story a little more legitimacy that it would otherwise.
