Everton scout South American pair
Everton have rekindled their form in recent weeks but are looking to add to their squad according to the Daily Mail after Everton scouts watched South American duo Jonathan Cafu and Federico Santander as their two teams, Ludogorets and Copenhagen went head-to-head in the Europa League on Thursday.
Ludogorets’ Cafu has scored 12 goals in 30 appearances for the club this season with the Brazilian joining the Hungarian club for £1.9 million from Sao Paulo in 2015.
The club reportedly want at least £12 million for the striker if he were to leave the club this summer.
However, Everton face competition from West Ham and Leicester who also sent representatives to watch the Brazilian as Ludogorets slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Copenhagen.
The Toffees were also watching Federico Santander who plays up front for the Danish side. He has scored nine goals in 26 games so for this season and is valued at around £30 million
The Goodison Park outfit have been reliant on Romelu Lukaku’s goals this year and have the finances to make a number of signings in the summer transfer window, to add to Morgan Schneiderlin’s £24 million move from Manchester United and Ademola Lookman’s transfer from Charlton.
