Watford are reportedly keen on making Everton outcast Tom Cleverley’s loan move at Vicarage Road permanent.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the England international is looking set to stay in London with Watford for the foreseeable future after impressing manager Walter Mazzarri during his stint with the club so far.
The Hornets have been utilising Cleverley regularly since his move from Goodison Park, where he was seen only as a squad player by Ronald Koeman and was allowed to make the switch in the January transfer window.
It’s claimed in the report that Watford have a clause in the six-month contract that Cleverley signed during the window that will allow him to sign for the club for £8 million if both the player and Everton’s fellow Premier League competitors agree.
Cleverley is clearly surplus to requirements at Goodison and having played eight times for Watford so far, looks to be heading out on a permanent basis.
