Everton are reportedly looking to bring in a right-back this summer and according to the Mirror, they are considering Southampton man Cuco Martina and Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier.
The Toffees are highly expected to be in the market for a right-sided defender this summer after Seamus Coleman broke his leg in a horrific clash between Republic of Ireland and Wales in the international break last month.
Mason Holgate has been used by Ronald Koeman at right-back in Coleman’s absence and has performed very well, stepping up to the mark in his breakthrough season and showing maturity when changing from his natural central position out on to the right.
Martina worked under Koeman at Southampton and would join Everton on a free transfer if they were to pursue him, with his contract on the south coast expiring at the end of June.
Trippier would be a harder target to acquire given that Mauricio Pochettino has often used him as a deputy to Kyle Walker for Spurs this season, but first-team football could lure him away from White Hart Lane.
