Everton decide against signing £11m forward
Everton have decided not to sign Enner Valencia from West Ham on a permanent deal, as per a report in the Liverpool Echo.
The Blues took the 27-year-old on a season-long loan last summer and as part of that deal, they had the option of keeping him permanently at a cost of £11million but it looks like they are going to pass it up.
The Ecuadorian only made seven starts for the Blues but he did come off the bench on 16 occasions and it looks like he didn’t do enough to convince Ronald Koeman to keep him.
The final say on whether Valencia stays or goes will be the manager’s but the Echo believe that the Dutchman is going to pass up the chance to sign the West Ham man as he has his eyes set on other targets such as Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
