Everton poised to move for Sassuolo man
Everton are reportedly keen to sign Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo this summer.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Il Messaggero today, the promising forward has set his sights firmly on a move to Roma this summer – but this has not stopped Everton from expressing an interest.
Berardi is currently out on international duty with his native Italy at the Under-21 European Championships, but upon his return from Poland he is sure to have plenty of offers.
He is one of Sassuolo’s best players and they’re sure to be keen on keeping hold of him this summer. However, with bigger teams across Europe expressing an interest, it could prove to be a hard task for the Serie A side.
Everton may be in need of more attacking flair next season and Berardi would almost certainly add that, along with providing versatility.
He can play anywhere across the front three and with age on his side, has all the makings of a top player.
