Everton have made a bid for FC Ingolstadt 04 defender Marcel Tisserand, according to a report from RMC Sport.
The French news outlet are reporting that Saint Etienne are looking to buy the 24-year-old but that they are facing competition from Everton, with the Toffees apparently offering the relegated German side €3m for the defender.
The report goes on to state that Ingolstadt are hoping to get around €8m for the former Monaco man so Everton will have to more than double their bid if they do want to get him.
The Congolese international is under contract with Ingolstadt until 2020 so they are in no rush to sell him, however, after the club’s relegation from the Bundesliga, they could struggle to keep their players away from other sides in Europe’s top leagues.
Saint Etienne have apparently submitted a €5m bid for Tisserand so they are clearly keen on him too, it remains to be seen how this all pans out.
