Everton keen to land Tottenham man on loan
Everton are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in Tottenham Hotspur outcast Moussa Sissoko.
The France international hasn’t enjoyed a lot of success since his record-breaking move to Spurs from Newcastle last summer, and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Mauricio Pochettino offload the midfielder.
Ronald Koeman was keen to land Sissoko near the end of the summer window and according to French news outlet L’Equipe (h/t Sport Witness), he is keen to bring him in ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
It’s claimed in the report that Everton want to sign Sissoko on an initial loan deal, but Spurs are understood to be keen on offloading the versatile midfielder permanently.
While Sissoko is an undoubtedly talented player, application has often been the issue, and this was always going to be a problem for Pochettino at Tottenham given his high-pressing style of play.
The 27-year-old will hope that his next move can bring more fortune to him, and Koeman will be hoping to land his man at the second time of asking.
