The Brazilian, who goes by the nickname of “Gabigol”, has a glittering reputation back home but has struggled to hit form on Italian soil, having failed to impress in his maiden season in Serie A.
However, according to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report, the Toffees are among a host of clubs in the top flight interested in helping him to revitalise himself at top level.
Barbosa netted 24 goals during his time at Santos, where he made 83 appearances. He also contributed with a respectable tally of 12 assists.
The Brazilian youngster is undoubtedly talented and has bags of potential, but may need to get out of Inter if he is to realise this potential, with his playing time looking to be limited ahead of next season.
It’s stated by Jones that all of Tottenham, Stoke, Leicester, Southampton, Swansea, and Liverpool have expressed an interest, along with Everton.
