Everton and Manchester City have both shown an interest in signing Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad, according to reports in the Spanish press.
The Spain international is set to be highly sought after in the last month of the transfer window and with Ronald Koeman seemingly still keen on bolstering his side, a move for Martinez may not be beyond the realms of possibility.
Everton have already landed Michael Keane in a deal that could reach £30m, and according to Spanish newspaper Sport, as cited by Sport Witness, they are not done there in terms of defensive recruitment.
However, if the Toffees are to make a serious move for the Sociedad man, they will need to fend off competition. It’s stated that all of Manchester City, Inter Milan and Barcelona have also expressed an interest.
The 26-year-old has been consistently impressive for Real Sociedad, so it’s no surprise to see him linked with such prestigious clubs.
