Derby keen to swoop for Ademola Lookman
Championship side Derby County are reportedly interested in a loan swoop for Everton striker Ademola Lookman.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the former Charlton forward is in high demand this summer and with first-team opportunities looking to be limited ahead of the coming season, a loan move may be on the cards.
Lookman was signed last January by Ronald Koeman as a player for the future, but he has shown signs of promise when called upon.
The 19-year-old undoubtedly has bags of potential but a season on the bench at Everton could very well harm his progression as a player. He’s certainly more likely to feature on a regular basis for Derby than he is with the Toffees.
Lookman, who is an established England Under-20 international, would be the perfect fit for Rams boss Gary Rowett, who is keen to add a pacey player to his attacking options.
