It looks as though West Brom haven’t given up hope in their pursuit of Everton midfielder Gareth Barry.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, Tony Pulis is keen to add the experienced midfielder to his ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign, which kicks off in under a week.
Barry isn’t looking to be poised for too many first-team opportunities under Ronald Koeman, given Everton’s plethora of midfield options. This means that he could seek a move away from Goodison Park as he approaches the final years of his career.
Pulis still needs to tackle the task of replacing Darren Fletcher with a new midfielder after the Scotsman secured a move to Stoke City earlier on in the window.
It’s stated that the Baggies will offer Barry a two-year contract at the club as they look to lure more reinforcements to the Hawthorns before the close of the window.
