Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is reportedly a target for Everton this summer.
According to a report from the Newcastle Chronicle today, the youngster has caught the eye of the Toffees and is a target for Ronald Koeman this summer.
Woodman was hugely impressive in England’s victory in the U20 World Cup, but first-team chances at St James’ Park are looking somewhat unlikely for the season ahead.
Rafa Benitez is keen to add a new first-team goalkeeper to the ranks, and this will mean that Woodman will be given next to no chance of impressing for the Magpies this season.
Although League One clubs are circling for the young goalkeeper’s signature on loan, the report states that Premier League clubs including Everton are keen to acquire him on a permanent basis.
Woodman is an undoubtedly promising shot stopper, and could be of value to Everton in the future.
