The Swans midfielder had been linked with a move to Goodison Park for some time now, and it looks as though the transfer is now a formality, with a medical set to be taken by Sigurdsson in the imminent future.
The fee is thought to be worth a huge £45 million, which would smash Everton’s current transfer record.
Sigurdsson has been a primary target for Ronald Koeman in his second summer in charge of the Toffees, and it’ll come as a relief to all parties involved that a deal has eventually been struck.
No complications are likely with Sigurdsson’s medical, and he could be available for Everton ahead of their trip to Manchester City on Monday evening.
