Tottenham and Chelsea have not been put off by Ross Barkley’s injury in their pursuit of the midfielder this summer.

According to the Evening Standard, both sides are still interested in Barkley and will battle it out to sign him before the end of the window.

Barkley has been heavily linked with a move away from Everton this summer, with Tottenham one of the most linked sides.

The report claims that Everton are looking for £25m to let him leave, though it remains to be seen whether either side would be willing to pay that figure.

Barkley has been ruled out of action for three months, which did put a move in doubt.

However, the report claims that the injury will not affect a potential move away from the club and that Chelsea and Tottenham are still willing to sign him.

Barkley has one year left on his current Everton contract.
