Everton and Leicester are reportedly keen to sign Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry, according to the Daily Mail.

The young defender has been catching the eye of top flight clubs following an impressive start to the season with Boro. Fry has already made nine appearances for the Championship outfit, and is showing immense potential.

The 20-year-old’s efforts at this early stage of the season have already been rewarded, too. He was called up to the England Under-21 squad last week, and will look to impress on the international stage in the near future.

Everton are not alone in their interest, though. Along with needing to fend off competition from Leicester for Fry’s signature, the Daily Mail also cite Chelsea and Manchester United with interest in Boro’s promising youngster.

Fry helped the England Under-20 side to a World Cup title in the summer, and is continuing to show potential at senior level.
