Everton reportedly interested in Arsenal winger
Everton are reportedly looking to sign Theo Walcott in January if he becomes available.
It’s been claimed by journalist Graeme Bailey, writing for The Gambling Times, that Toffees are among a host of top flight clubs keen to offer Walcott a route out of the Emirates.
Walcott’s contract expires in around 18 months and with game time at Arsenal becoming increasingly limited, it looks as though he could be lined up for a January move.
It’s stated in the report that the England international has been given an ultimatum by Arsenal’s chiefs ahead of the window in just three months’ time – improve, or be sold.
Walcott is claimed to believe that he has the capacity to break into Wenger’s plans on a regular basis once more, but is also considering his options with the World Cup coming at the end of the season.
Everton have been short of goals recently, and a move for Walcott could help them get back into some attacking form.
