Koeman reiterates commitment to Everton
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has been speculatively linked with the Netherlands job in recent times.
The Toffees boss, a Dutchman himself, has been linked with the national team for some time now, and following their failure to qualify for the World Cup next year, Dick Advocaat’s future is under serious scrutiny.
However, Koeman discussed the possibility of becoming Netherlands manager in his press conference on Friday, and ruled himself out of the running.
Twitter: Ronald Koeman has ruled himself out of the Holland job, saying: “I’m Everton manager and that is the most important thing.” (@MirrorAnderson)
Koeman is under pressure at Everton following their simply dire start to the 2017/18 campaign. The Toffees sit in 16th place on the Premier League table, and are rock bottom of their Europa League group.
Although Farhad Moshiri has publicly expressed his faith in Koeman, the former Southampton manager undoubtedly has a crucial period of fixtures coming up.
