Everton ban fan who swung for Lyon players
Everton Football Club have identified and banned the fan who appeared to swing in the direction of Lyon players on Thursday night, according to the BBC.
A mass brawl broke out at Goodison Park in front of the home fans after Ashley Williams pushed goalkeeper Rony Lopes.
One Everton fan, who was also holding a child in the other hand, took it upon himself to approach the group of players and appeared to swing for some of the Lyon players.
Emotions were running high at Goodison Park as Everton fell to another home defeat, increasing the pressure on manager Ronald Koeman.
Goals from Nabil Fekir and former Chelsea player Bertrand Traore either side of a goal from Williams sealed the three points for the French side.
Thursday’s poor result continues Everton’s disappointing start to the campaign after a busy summer. They sit 16th in the Premier League and bottom of Group E in the Europa League.
