Everton look set to recall young defender Brendan Galloway as he fails to make an impact at Sunderland.
The Liverpool Echo report that the player is keen to return to Goodison Park after falling out of favour under new manager Chris Coleman.
Galloway had been involved under their previous manager Simon Grayson but has featured just twice since Coleman took the job.
The versatile defender is highly thought of at Everton and could look to find another loan move for the remainder of the season or try to break into Sam Allardyce’s first-team plans.
The move is likely to be one that is beneficial for both parties as Coleman goes about shaking up the first-team squad at Sunderland.
With money tight at the struggling Championship outfit offloading Galloway will allow the former Wales boss a little more room to manoeuvre in the transfer market.
During his time at the club Galloway made just five starts for Sunderland.
