Everton midfielder lined up for permanent move away
Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is wanted on a permanent basis by Middlesbrough, according to the Northern Echo.
The Bosnian midfield man has been enjoying a strong season with Boro having secured a move away from Merseyside on a temporary basis. Besic was allowed to leave Everton in January as a result of a shortage in regular game time.
He has since worked under Tony Pulis and has caught the eye of many with some impressive performances in the middle of the park. Boro have played well in recent times and Besic has been a key factor in this.
The midfielder has featured on only six occasions but is already a popular figure among the Riverside faithful, with Besic winning them over due to his intense, hard-working style.
If Boro are to pursue a permanent deal for Besic, though, it seems they’ll need to spend a considerable sum. He is contracted to Everton until 2021 and it’s claimed that the Toffees will seek a fee upwards of the £4.5m they spent to initially sign him.
