Napoli agree terms with Everton target
Napoli are close to completing the signing of Everton target Lucas Torreira, according to reports in Italy.
The midfielder has attracted interest from all around Europe, with Everton showing a very strong interest in the midfielder. He has performed well in the last couple of seasons with Sampdoria.
Napoli are looking for reinforcements in the midfield and have identified the Sampdoria midfielder as somebody who they want to bring into the club, with Jorginho potentially on his way out.
Personal terms are already claimed to have been agreed with the South American and a five-year contract, which is set to be worth £1.5 million per a year.
Torreira’s current club are hoping to hold out on the deal but Napoli are happy to pay the £25 million release clause in the player’s contract.
He has already scored four goals this season whilst also claiming an assist and Napoli have identified him as top quality midfielder, particularly in his tackling and overall defending.
If Everton are keen to bolster their midfield through the signing of Torreira, it seems they’ll need to make an offer quickly.
