Everton have reignited their interest in FC Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi, according to a report from Correio da Manha, as translated by Sport Witness.
The Toffees were linked with a swoop for the Algerian international in the summer transfer window, but no move materialised.
Brahimi has often been touted with an exit from Porto but he has remained with the Portuguese giants despite plenty of speculation. Although, it seems Everton may be prepared to test Porto’s resolve ahead of next season.
It’s claimed in the report that Brahimi will consider an exit away from Porto after they have successfully won the Liga NOS title.
However, unless Porto opt to lower their valuation of their star winger, it seems potential suitors will need to cough up a considerable sum of money to convince the club to sell Brahimi.
The 28-year-old is reported to have a release clause included in his current deal worth €60m, which could be off-putting for the likes of Everton.
