Everton face competition from Inter Milan for Sampdoria playmaker Dennis Praet, according to CalcioMercato.

The 23-year old Belgian joined the Serie A outfit from Anderlecht in the summer of 2016, and has featured regularly this season in the Italian top flight.

CalcioMercato claim that Inter Milan are looking to sign Praet, as well as former Everton target Lucas Torreira, as they look to replicate their success of signing Sampdoria talent, having captured Milan Škriniar last summer.

Inter may have an advantage over Everton, with reports suggesting Sampdoria would be willing to do a double swap deal with Inter for players Andrea Pinamonti and Xian Immers, while Everton are unlikely to offer a player in any deal.

Praet is just one of many offensively minded midfielders the Toffees have been linked with in recent weeks, following the likes of Yacine Brahimi, Shinji Kagawa and Oğuzhan Özyakup.
