Sam Allardyce is sweating on the fitness of three first-teamers ahead of their trip to Huddersfield Town this weekend, reports the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
Leighton Baines, Morgan Schneiderlin and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who all featured in Monday’s win against Newcastle, are being given until the last minute to be fit.
Schneiderlin was substituted seven minutes into the second half when he received a dead leg, Calvert-Lewin has back issues and Baines suffered a cut.

Speaking ahead of the game, Allardyce said none of them had trained yesterday:
We’re waiting for tomorrow to see what their availability is. There’s little we can do with those boys today – we have to give them as long as possible to see if they’re fit. It leaves us limited if they’re not. Hopefully two of three come through.
Allardyce did admit that the game would be too soon for midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is back jogging in training. The Icelandic international hasn’t featured in five games since picking up a knee injury in the 2-0 win against Brighton last month.
