# 2015/16 Fixture List: Watford First Up At Goodison

Everton will play newly-promoted **Watford** at Goodison Park on the first day of the 2015/16 season.

The Blues face Quique Flores’ men from North London on the weekend of the 8th August, and then head to St Mary’s for a tricky away fixture against **Southampton**. **Manchester City** are next up for Roberto Martinez and co., in what appears to be a difficult start for the Goodison Park side- the Toffees play all of last season’s top 7 in their opening 10 games.

The first Merseyside derby will take place at Goodison on 3rd October, while the return game at Anfield is scheduled for 27th February.

Everton play  **Newcastle** **(away)** on Boxing Day, and will finish the season with games against **Bournemouth (home), Leicester (away) and  Norwich City (home)**.

Under-pressure manager Roberto Martinez will be determined to hit the ground running after a disappointing 2015/16. Fingers crossed for a positive start come 8th August.
