Martinez considering swoop for Barcelona starlet
Everton are reportedly set to target Barcelona starlet Munir El Haddadi in the Summer.
The Toffees reportedly approached the Catalan club in the January transfer window to acquire the services of the 20-year-old on loan, but manager Luis Enrique denied the opportunity for the youngster as he wanted to keep him at the Camp Nou for the second-half of the season.
It is the two goals that he has scored in back-to-back 90 minute appearances that show why his manager was willing to retain his services until the end of this campaign.
The Spaniard now has three goals coming from 14 La Liga appearances this term, and his future will be discussed at the end of the season.
Munir has struggled to break into the holding champions side this season, with the front three of Messi, Suarez and Neymar producing a total of 68 goals in the domestic league so far.
This endeavour to obtain first team football has lead to the highly-rated youngster reportedly being open to a temporary move away from the Camp Nou, with Everton looking the favourites to give him regular game time.
If El Haddadi was to secure a loan move to Goodison park in the Summer, he would follow in the footsteps of former teammate Gerard Deulofeu, who was sent on loan to the Merseyside club in 2013 before signing permanently at the beginning of 2015.
