Metz youngster joins Everton
Everton have confirmed their seventh signing of the summer, and their second signing for David Unsworth’s Under-23 squad, announcing Boris Mathis from French club Metz.
The 19-year old joins on a two-year deal and will immediately link up with the reigning Premier League 2 champions.

Mathis started his youth career with Lyon before switching to Metz in 2015, where he would go on to make his first senior appearance in April 2017.
The young striker hopes to emulate other young players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin and make his way into Ronald Koeman’s senior side.
“My dream is to play for the first team here,” he said. “Ronald Koeman is a huge figure, not only as a coach now but his reputation as a player speaks for itself as well.”
Mathis is the second player to be signed to Everton’s Under-23 squad this summer, with the club having already added Dutch defender Nathangelo Markelo from FC Voldendam.
