Everton sticking to £50m Barkley valuation
Everton are sticking to their £50m valuation of Ross Barkley this summer, amid interest from Premier League clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton are demanding £50m to let Barkley leave and will not budge on that price.
Tottenham are said to be very interested in the midfielder, whilst Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked.
Barkley is also said to want £100k-per-week in wages in any potential move from the club.
Barkley has already been ruled out for the start of the season after he underwent surgery for a hernia injury.
The England international will be out of action for four weeks but will be back before the transfer window slams shut at the end of next month.
Barkley scored six goals in 39 games for Everton last season, featuring in 36 of the club’s 38 Premier League matches.
The 23-year-old has been at the club for 12 years – since he was 11 – and has amassed 179 appearances for Everton in that time.
