Everton and Watford interested in Croatian youngster
Everton are reportedly interested in signing yet another promising Croatian talent.
It’s claimed by Il Secolo XIX out in Italy that the Toffees are among a host of clubs taking an interest in NK Lokomotiva midfielder Lovro Majer.
Everton have developed a reputation for landing some of the brightest young talents across Europe in recent times, as shown by their captures of Henry Onyekuru from Eupen and Nikola Vlasic, also a Croatian youngster, from Hajduk Split.
However, if they are to push ahead and secure the services of Majer, they will need to fend off competition from a host of clubs across Europe. The report states that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Celtic are interested in landing Majer in the near future.
The 19-year-old is held in extremely high regard in Croatia, and has even drawn comparisons to Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric given his style of play and nationality.
Watford are also claimed to be keen.
