Everton make Thomas Tuchel their top target
If you believed everything you read, you’d think that Everton have about 20 top targets for their vacant manager role!
Names like Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Mancini and Sean Dyche have all been linked with the Blues hot-seat but now David Maddocks of the Mirror is reporting that former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel is the man who the board want to bring in.
Having sacked Ronald Koeman, the Everton hierarchy, led by chairman Bill Kenwright and main shareholder Farhad Moshiri, have begun their search for a new manager and Maddocks believes that Tuchel is their top target.
He says that Everton have already made contact with his representatives but that the German is in no rush to make any decisions about his future.
The 44-year-old took over Dortmund from the now Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in 2015 and led them to second and third placed finishes in the league, as well as to a domestic cup win.
