Fenerbahce reportedly want to offer Davy Klaassen an escape route out of Everton in January.
The Netherlands international has been nothing short of underwhelming since arriving from Ajax in the summer. Klaassen has failed to nail down a place in Everton’s first-team plans and has been overlooked by caretaker manager David Unsworth in recent weeks.
However, his time at Everton could be coming to an end sooner than expected, if Turkish news outlet Sporx are to be believed.
Fenerbahce are claimed to hold an interest in Klaassen and are keen to tie up a deal for him when the transfer window opens in the new year.
The report even goes as far as saying that Fenerbahce’s representative Hasan Cetinkaya is deep into discussions with the Toffees already, with a view to a loan move in mind.
Klaassen was very much a Ronald Koeman signing and has seen his Everton career go from bad to worse since his fellow countryman’s departure from the club.
