Nothing much to really see here. We went to Apollon under no illusions that it was a dead rubber and we played very much like it was. We took the mick at times during the game and coasted home beyond a 15 minute period either side of the half where Joel Robles made a few tidy saves.
The young Blues were by far the better team and it wasn’t really a case of Apollon being especially poor, the kids were alright. Ademola Lookman, Morgan Feeney, Harry Charsley and Nikola Vlašić all really impressed while experienced heads such as Robles, Kvein Mirallas and Mo Bešić seemed to cope well.
And then there was Morgan Schneiderlin and I don’t really know why he played.
A player born in the year 2001 came on to round out a decent game for the travelling blues as Craig Shakespeare takes the record of the best record for an Everton manager of all time.
On to that game over at their place at the weekend now.
