Everton are the latest team to express an interest in Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson, as per the Mirror.
Sam Allardyce is reportedly ready to spend upwards of £50 million to secure a double deal for both Mawson and Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure.
West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Mawson and have reportedly had a bid turned down.
With ageing central defenders in the former of Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka, Allardyce is keen to sign another central defender.
Mawson has impressed this season in a struggling Swansea side who sit bottom of the Premier League after the festive period.
Doucoure, who has impressed for Watford under Marco Silva, has been identified as a cheaper alternative to Steven N’Zonzi, who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park ever since Allardyce took the job.
Allardyce has turned Everton’s season around after some early relegation fears but wants to ensure a strong finish.
