Allardyce confirms interest Everton’s interest in Walcott
Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Everton are in talks with Arsenal over a possible deal for out-of-favour winger Theo Walcott but admits a deal is not imminent.
As reported by Radio City News, Walcott is a player which boss Sam Allardyce is keen to bring in to bolster his options going into the second half of the season.
I think you’re all aware of our interest and it’s one we’re hoping to get over the line. It would be a great addition to come in from an attacking point of view.
Walcott has been a long-term target for Southampton, his former club, but it appears his wages are a stumbling block for the South Coast club.
The forward has struggled to find regular game-time at Arsenal, failing to start a single Premier League game this season, featuring in just the cup competitions.
The Blues have already made the addition of Cenk Tosun from Besiktas and are looking like to bring in the England international as they look to push for the European places in the second half of the season.
